With just a week before Christmas, hopefully your tree is up, your stockings are hung and your shopping is in the midst of being accomplished.
That’s at least where my family is, at this point.
What I’ve yet to nail down is my Christmas morning tablescape…
But thanks to my friends over at Teleflora, I’ve got some helpful tips I’m looking to tap into for my own holiday decorating — and thought I’d pass along here with my faithful readers. And as a Christmas bonus, how about one lucky reader gets Teleflora’s Holly Days Centerpiece on his/her holiday table? Giveaway entry is below. But first, let’s hear from Teleflora floral expert, Marie Ackerman on her tips for holiday decorating:
SET A BEAUTIFUL TABLE
Tablescaping is like landscaping for your table: it’s your chance to tell a story visually with beautiful flowers and holiday materials.
Create a tablescape with fresh flowers as the center of attention: Order a beautiful centerpiece of fresh flowers and fragrant evergreens. Place the bouquet on a festive holiday table runner and surround it with votive candles, ornaments and bits of holly to make your table look even more fantastic.
Remember each guest with a special name card, securing their place as an honored guest. Use a pine cone to hold down the card or a flower to pin in their hair or to their lapel.
Send your guests home with the centerpiece: Make their holiday more memorable by gifting one of your guests the arrangement to take home at the end of the evening. It will be a sweet way to remember the time they spent enjoying your hospitality.
SURPRISE GUESTS WITH FLOWERS IN UNEXPECTED PLACES
If everyone always ends up in the kitchen, place a stunning bouquet there for all to enjoy. (The Teleflora Gingerbread Cookie Jar Bouquet would be especially adorable!)
Drinks in the den? Place a vase of flowers on the bar to signal a gathering spot.
And don’t forget the powder room: the room that everyone visits!
And now, onto the giveaway! Hurry, the Teleflora giveaway is running for 2 days only — enter today!
