Ok yogis…and yogurt lovers – this post is for you.
I’ve been on a bit of a yoga and meditation kick lately. Embracing the quiet; attempting to keep my chakras balanced; and reveling in white space have all become not only fascinations for me…but priorities.
Really slowing down. Taking stock. Being grateful.
These are all the ways I’m attempting to regain balance and achieve some sort of cosmic understanding of this life.
Because life is just too darn short. And it’s very important to live your truth, tell your story and #JustBeYou.
Through my blog, I’ve been fortunate to partner with Stonyfield Yogurt as a Brand Ambassador and through this partnership, I’m reminded of the importance of not only eating well but being well. Which is why I was excited to participate in this #JustBeYou campaign that pairs their Oh My Yog! yogurt with yoga brand, prAna.
I’ve been familiar with prAna for many years now and own a few pieces of their yoga gear. I recently got to try out their low-rise fitted Freya Knicker pants, which are made from hemp.
As for the yogurt, my favorite Oh My Yog! flavor has been the ginger pear – and Rocco likes the Blueberry.
Eating well, being well – not bad things to strive for, right?
How about a little prAna giveaway for those looking to add some sustainable style to their wellness regime? One lucky mom a la mode reader will receive (1) one item (max $99) from the prAna Men’s or Women’s collection.
Simply comment below as to what you are currently doing to eat well and be well and #JustBeYou. (1) one winner will be selected at random via Random.org.
For some extra fun, how about a 15% off discount for EVERYONE on prAna online purchases between now and December 15th? Just use code JBYF15MAM at checkout: http://www.prana.com.

We eat mindfully in our family, discussing where each ingredient came from in each dish, extending gratitude to the people, sun, water, soil, etc. involved in bringing those ingredients to our table, from farmer to grocer. Then we open our bodies to the nourishment the food provides. We only eat sitting down, at our table, together. We also avoid calling various foods “good” or “bad”. To us, eating is about nourishment of the body and also the soul. So if I share a joyful moment with my children eating ice cream cones on the boardwalk, staring at the ocean and laughing together, the “nourishment” we just received is worth more than an all-greens smoothie drunk alone while in a bad mood…. Not judging the food or ourselves will bring us all into a better relationship with nourishing our bodies and living in a way that allows us to be human and to make choices, instead of following rules and limitations. Cuz that just sounds kinda sad….

I spent my entire life being over weight and found myself being bullied for it almost everyday. High school and college were spent running 6 miles a day trying to change what everyone else was seeing. Then one day I met my swolemate a personal trainer and nutritionist! He loved me when I was out of shape and he loves me just the same now that I am fit. He taught me that in order to reach my goals I have to change my diet as well as lifting and doing cardio. I am now down 30lbs I have transformed my body and I workout 6 days a week and love my fit lifestyle. my passion for fitness is so strong that I am now a certified personal trainer helping others who have been builed or suffer from body dysmorohic disorder. My transformation can be found on Instagram @official_swolemates thank you for such a generous giveaway!!

Although I’ve become a PT student and sitting at a desk and studying have become the norm, I I try to make a point of stopping and either doing a 20 minute online workout, a minute plank or 10 minutes of meditation.
