Just about 2 years ago I had the chance to experience my first swap meet on a sunny Sunday morning in Chelsea. It was the first time I was introduced to Little Swappies and Lauren Patterson, the founder, and thought it was such a fantastic concept (you can read more about it here). Lauren and I also talked about how rad it would be to bring Little Swappies across the Hudson to Bergen County, New Jersey.
And sure enough, it happened!
Lauren linked up with an area nursery school and had a fantastic event a few weeks back in Allendale, New Jersey. Her partner, Serena Norr and team set up a Saturday morning event that not only involved swapping, but also allowed attendees to visit exhibitors, have their strollers cleaned and the little ones were treated to some time on the Fun Bus.
Little Swappies is not only an eco-friendly event, but a family-friendly event — check out the upcoming calendar to see when the next event is taking place in the NYC Metro area.
