As someone who considers herself a “mom in the mode” (much like you, right?!) I’m always on the hunt for something cool that will help me to navigate life with a young child.
And if “that something cool” somehow involves my iPad or iPhone, even better.
So when the team at Mommy Nearest approached me to be part of their “Expert Mom” program, I was quite excited.
Mommy Nearest is this new mobile app for your iPhone that allows parents to access all kinds of child-related resources throughout New York City (with other cities coming soon). With the Mommy Nearest app on hand, you’ll be able to find things like the closest kid-friendly restaurants that have high chairs as well as the nearest parks and playgrounds (and even the best places in the city to change a diaper!!) In many situations, the app can be a true lifesaver. You can download it now for free by clicking here.
Over the course of the next few weeks, I’ll be testing the app out and chronicling my experiences using Mommy Nearest and trying out some new places. You can keep tabs on my adventure through my upcoming posts here on mom a la mode or by going to the Mommy Nearest blog at blog.mommynearest.com.
For those of you in the suburbs, look for a handy post coming up, too, about how to make a trip into the city with little ones as stress-free (and fun for all!) as possible.
As you can tell, I will have a lot more to share about my experiences in the coming weeks, so stay tuned. In the meantime, definitely check out the Mommy Nearest app. It is available for download in the App Store and will be available for Android devices in the coming weeks.
