What’s a summer in New Jersey without a trip to Jenkinsons Boardwalk and Point Pleasant Beach?!
For those who live in North Jersey or the NYC Metro area, “Jenks” is one of the closer boardwalks and Point Pleasant one of the more family friendly beach areas that aren’t too far of a drive for a carload of littles.
We’re fortunate to spend a good chunk of our summer at the Jersey Shore, in an area that allows us to frequent Jenkinsons fairly often. And it was pretty cool to be selected to participate as a Jenkinsons Memory Maker this year, which allowed us to experience a VIP Visit with Roc and our dear friends (and familiar mom a la mode faces), Jennifer and A. And good news for you — I have a VIP Experience up for grabs at the end of this post!
Our VIP Visit provided us with a guest wristband, giving us full use of Point Pleasant Beach and Bath House, Amusement Park, Mini Golf, Aquarium and Fun House.
We visited on a gorgeous sunny Friday and were excited to be part of Shark Week at Jenkinsons Aquarium (note: there is ALWAYS something fun happening at Jenkinsons – in August, be on lookout for their Carnivale and their “Hot Halloween” weekend.)
We’ve always found Jenkinsons to be clean and very manageable with little ones, strollers, etc. There are so many rides for children of various ages and you can’t beat the view — the expansive Atlantic and sandy beach dotted with colorful umbrellas on one side, and if you’re lucky to be there at dusk, a magnificent sunset on the other.

Roc absolutely loved this ride. He went on it 5 times. Yes, 5 times….(a benefit of having an unlimited ride wristband!)

It was then time to “cool off” at The Aquarium. We were thrilled to be there for Shark Week!

There were some fun crafts for the kids to enjoy related to Shark Week…
Sitting in the cool Aquarium and making a little craft was a great way to break up the very hot afternoon on the boards…
There were also games…
And who doesn’t love a touch tank?!
While we didn’t actually go on the beach, we certainly enjoyed the view…
And ended our day with a few rides on the train!

We visited for the first time this year. It was so clean!
I love everything about jenks, especially the beach. I was born in point pleasant and my family loves going there.
We love Jenks ots a perfect family get away!! I am Mom of 2 and have a week off in August so we will be there!
Jenks is such a great place, so much to do…we haven’t done it all. My kids would love the aquarium for sure!

We love Jenks because of how family friendly it is. Our kids loved the rides as littles, they love it now and we’re sure they’ll still love it when they’re in their teens. We also love to play the games, visit the arcades and finish it off with dinner at the Pavilion!
Born and raised in NJ. Grew up in Spring Lake. Pt. Pleasant was and still is the place to be for family fun!

Jenks is the perfect one-day get-away for my family! Most of the rides are just the right size for my almost-5 and 7 yr olds. We spend time in the arcades, play a little mini golf, stop in the candy stores for some fudge and saltwater taffy. And we always make time for a visit to the aquarium!
