Since Sienna has been 6 months old, Stonyfield Organic YoBaby yogurt has been a regular staple in her little diet. Sometimes it was a yogurt for breakfast, other times, a yogurt for lunch. My older son, Rocco, who is now almost 8, also loved the baby yogurts from the Stonyfield line as a toddler and now enjoys the YoKids line. We also blend Stonyfield yogurt from the big container into our morning smoothies on a weekly basis.
So you get the idea that we’re big fans of Stonyfield yogurts in our household (and yes, full disclosure, I’ve been a brand ambassador for the product for a few years now).
Just last month, the folks at Stonyfield Organic issued some big news about YoBaby Yogurt — specifically the Banana Mango variety (a crowd favorite in our house):
“We have some big news about one of our YoBaby Yogurts: Banana Mango! We removed added sweeteners! We’ve heard from moms that this is the top of their priority list, and we’ve listened. This sugar reduction is part of a wider reduction we kicked off in 2017, where we reduced across our portfolio! The Banana Mango is still as delicious as ever, with its creamy whole milk yogurt and probiotic benefits!”
A few other fun facts about Stonyfield Organic you may not have know about:
- Doc’s Love It. YoBaby is the #1 pediatrician recommended yogurt for babies and kids 6 months to 2 years.
- Leader of the Pack. Stonyfield YoBaby was the first yogurt made especially for babies.
- A fan of probiotics?YES! In addition to live active cultures, Stretococcus Thermophilus, Lactobacillus Bulgaricus, Lactobacillus Acidophilus, Bifidus, Lactobacillus Casei, and Lactobacillus Rhamnosus, YoBaby® yogurt now contains the probiotic Bifidobacterium animalis lactis BB-12® that has been shown to have a digestive health benefit when consumed regularly as part of a balanced diet and healthy lifestyle. BB-12® is a registered trademark of Chr. Hansen.
- Sustainable Goodness. Stonyfield Organic YoBaby uses PLA cups (meaning, made from plants!) because they heard from moms that they were concerned with polystyrene packaging – PLUS plant-based packaging has a lower carbon footprint.
As long as we’re on the topic of lower-sugar options for our little ones, my friends at Stonyfield recently introduced me to a line of fresh, nutrient-dense food pouches (co-founded by actress, Jennifer Garner!) called Once Upon a Farm Organics. Never, ever any preservatives, concentrates or processed purees. Just fresh, whole ingredients picked in season. Truly feel-good food for little growing bodies, and makes a nice complement to the Stonyfield YoBaby yogurt for a healthy breakfast or lunch!
SO many options for clean, healthy eating to nourish our little ones’ bodies and souls! Are you a fan of Stonyfield YoBaby or Once Upon a Farm products? Comment below!
