‘Twas two weeks before Christmas and all thru the house…a creature was stirring.
Decorating, actually.
For days and days and days.
That lovely creature was none other than Kathryn, my A.C. Moore-addicted mother. And that house is her own — the one I grew up in. And it’s pretty freakin’ amazing at Christmastime.
She does it all on her own — from vision to installation. Am pretty proud of her and thought you might enjoy and get inspired, too. The best part? The price tag: she purchased all of the design elements from KMart, A.C. Moore, Michael’s or her local Dollar Tree. Feel free to pin away!

This pictures brought back so many wonderful memories of your mom. She was such a special person to everyone. I know she is smiling knowing that her Lisa is doing something that meant so much to her for Christmas. That last sentence she wrote on December 12, 2012 has special meaning to me and my family. She brought joy, peace, and happiness to all of us. She is truly missed.
It was wonderful seeing this picture of your beautiful mom!
It’s absolutely beautiful! It’s so hard to pick a favorite. I love the living room view, but what a tree – oh wait, those french doors! How very creative of your Mom! I guess the apple really doesn’t fall far from the tree! It’s a veritable Christmas wonderland!
Thanks so much xoxo
Thank you so much, my daughter, for the beautiful tribute to our home. Our home has always been a source of inspiration for me and making it “a castle” for our family, especially now with the approach of your brother’s wedding day.
May joy, peace, and happiness always find its way to our door!
