Fashion Friday: How to Wear Radiant Orchid

January 31, 2014 by Lisa Pisano 7 Comments

I’ve been obsessed with the color, Radiant Orchid, long before it was heralded as PANTONE’S Color of the Year for 2014.

Ok, so maybe not Radiant Orchid, proper — but colors like it.

I’ve historically gravitated toward deep fuchsias, pinky purples and ravishing raspberries in sweaters, blazers and dresses and I think that this color story is universally pleasing on almost all complexions and hair colors.

So how do you wear Radiant Orchid?  Mom a la mode did a bit of trend spotting (and even shopped her closet a bit!) to show you her hot ways to wear this jammy color.

Lisa, you look so pretty in the jacket. I love Ralph Lauren clothes!

      Thanks, Estelle!
I do like Ralph Lauren clothes, too.
With the exception, of course, of those horrendous U.S. Olympic Team sweaters he designed for Sochi.

Wow that is one bright color. I love it though. I think I would remain optimistic the whole day with that cheery outfit.

      Indeed…indeed!
Especially on these cold, winter days. Radiant orchid is a wonderful pick-me-up.
But I’m a BIG fan of color no matter what the season…as you can see 🙂

Precisely! I shopped my closet for my blazer and also spotted a sweater and cross-body bag in there that will “work” too.

I love the names these colors have! I need you to come to my closet and style me!

I actually have a couple of things in “Radiant Orchid” (who knew it had an actual name?) I’ll have to make sure to pull them out a wear them more often.
