Gifts That Glam

I am a sucker for gift guides at this time of year.  From the pages of glossy magazines to my local newspaper’s holiday round up, I find it hard to pass up a well-edited selection of gifts to give (or to get!)

And so mom a la mode has had access to some of the best in fashion, beauty and accessories this holiday season and would like to share with you a few holiday gift picks of her own.

If you’re a regular reader of mom a la mode, you know that I am an Essie devotee.  So when I got to preview the colors from their Winter 2012 collection I was tickled Ballet Slippers pink! Butler Please and Leading Lady will add a shock of color and bedazzle holiday finger tips, and I’ve always found a great gift is to pair a holiday nail polish with a gift certificate for a mani. Here’s another cool example of cold weather accessories that are technology-friendly – Echo’s Touch Gloves not only keep you warm and insulated, but allow for you to not miss an email (or a chance to post a Facebook status update from your iPhone!), while braving the elements. ($35)

I adore the look of an effortless-chic accessory that can be layered with a watch or other bracelets, and it was love at first sight for me with Giles & Brother’s Hook Wrap Bracelet.
