One thing I love about blogging is how it allows me to cross paths with some very cool people from my very former life in the fashion industry.
As much as I enjoy being primarily home with my son and freelancing, I’d be lying if I said that I didn’t miss the collaborative process that comes with working in-house amongst Creatives. Being in the daily presence of designers, photographers, art directors and marketing peeps had a way of bringing forth a palpable energy of collective talent that’s deliciously contagious. And F-U-N fun.
Thanks to this little blog, it’s been awesome to reconnect with some of these folks and keep that collaborative energy going, digitally.
And speaking of Awesome, let me introduce you to Kristin Casamassina – blogger + graphic designer extraordinaire, and creator of The Awesome Redhead. Kristin and I worked several years ago in the corporate marketing department of a leading American fashion company, collaborating on press kits, editor gifts and more. Aside from being a talented graphic designer, she was always a super cool person (and still is!)

When I saw that Kristin launched her own blog, I was psyched for her – she has a fresh, modern approach to design (and aspires to be a chef!) So super cool!

I love blogging as well because of the creativity that it allows me. I earned my degree in fashion and although I never did anything that I SHOULD have done with that degree, I was still working in creative fields before I quit to stay at home with my kids.
