Wordless Wednesday: A Cool Way to Start A New Year

January 1, 2013 by Lisa Pisano 4 Comments

Aunt Mimi did it again.

As if the yard-toy roller coaster for Roc’s birthday wasn’t cool enough, she surprised him with an ice cream maker for Christmas.  It doesn’t get much cooler than that!

This Wordless Wednesday is dedicated to our fun New Year’s Day making homemade ice cream.

mom a la mode wouldn’t start a new year any other way 🙂

Getting our ingredients together. We used this great ice cream starter from Williams-Sonoma.

I’m so happy you all enjoyed it and I can’t wait to see what you create! Honestly, how could I go wrong with this family gift, though? Let me say that sitting at your table is a luscious dining experience since you’re one of the best, most creative chefs ever & I had a hunch you could do wonders with this. It’s also a well-known fact that your hubs is a sophisticated connoisseur of frosty culinary pleasures. And the little guy, well let’s just say that he’s never met any edible (& probably some non-edible) treats that he hasn’t loved! Much love, hugs & kisses to the 3 of you!

Thanks so much! Yes, my husband (and his family!) are quite the ice cream aficionados. I think there very well might be a blog post brewing at some point… Thanks again xo
